In the morning I had to check out and check in because of different types of payment. I know there were kids on the 3rd floor, but our second floor room was OK and convenient to the elevator, etc. So I did not get what I had carefully requested for yet another reason (loyalty no good, kids no good). I was told that 3rd floor rooms are not given to families with children because of the noise the kids make in the halls. My grandson is asthmatic so I did not want a "dog" room for him, and I had called earlier that morning to confirm the 3rd floor reservation. When I got to the hotel, the clerk said "you want a first floor room near the pool right?" Since that was the last thing I wanted I do not know where she got that idea. One was a loyalty night and one was a paid night. When I called Choice, I was told I could not book a 3rd floor room (available) because I was using loyalty points and that the hotel blocked the third floor to loyalty members! I did not think this was fair so I called Choice Customer service and was able to book (or so I thought) third floor rooms for both of my nights.
